Disappearing from Your Lives for a Year

I’m so sorry for disappearing from your lives for the past year. I know how much you needed me, and I wasn’t there when it mattered most. I can only imagine the hurt and confusion my absence caused you both. I let you down, and that breaks my heart. I want you to know that my choice to step away was never about you; it was my own struggle that I didn’t handle well. I wasn’t thinking about how my actions would affect you, and that’s something I deeply regret. You deserved a parent who was present, who listened, and who supported you, and I failed to be that for you. Moving forward, I’m committed to making real changes. I’ve been working on myself, seeking support, and figuring out how I can be the parent you both deserve. I want to be here for you, to listen to your thoughts and feelings, and to rebuild our relationship. I know it will take time and trust, and I’m willing to put in that effort. Please know that I’m open to talking whenever you feel ready. I’m here to listen to you, to understand how you feel, and to learn from this experience. You mean the world to me, and I want to do everything I can to make things right.
